I didn't do ANY healthy things Friday night. Surprise.
I did grocery shop on Saturday and get healthy stuff. I've been doing okay with the exception of the movie popcorn I ate last night. Whatever...
Today I logged into WW. I put my banana in there. Now I'm having tea. Truth be told I will continue to add the things I eat onto WW until I eat something bad. Then I quit. Cuz I'm a quitter.
I tried to take the kids to the farm yesterday since husband had his sleep study where he did not sleep. It kept misty raining on us so it didn't go well. We left after an hour and the boy was cranky.
I scrubbed things and cleaned things...but I have to say all in all I was pretty useless this weekend.
We asked the builder to clear another 100 or so ft of trees in the yard. Not as pricey as we thought it would be.

Stick to it?
Why do I never EVER stick to anything? I try things out. I am always down to try something out. I get all "YES! THIS IS A GREAT IDEA I AM DOING THIS AND I AM BUYING ALL THE THINGS THAT GO WITH IT AND THE BOOKS ON IT AND THE DVDs AND I'M TATTOOING IT ON MYSELF BECAUSE I AM DEDICATED AND WILL NEVER QUIT EVERRRR!!!"
...
Then I quit.
wtf?
I can't stay motivated.
On my fridge is a hot girl and it says "Eat more veggies. Work out more. Etc..."
I ignore it and eat a bagel.
I ignore my elliptical which I swore I would love. I ignore my WW subscription which I swore I'd use. So - can I at least stick to this here blog? Can I just write in it every day even if I don't do anything worth writing about?
Today I feel motivated. Except I already ate half an everything bagel with cream cheese and a slice of pizza. And a salted caramel mocha thing from Starbucks. In my defense, it was only a Tall. I think there was a sip left when I threw it out. Also I said "No whip." Props? No. I think I ate a snack size kitkat, too. And a pear. There! Look! A healthy thing!! F---
Okay - so, I started this blog thinking I'd keep it updated about house things and I didn't. Here's a house update:
The girl and boy have their own rooms upstairs. We merged that apartment with ours. We also set up a "gym" up there. I put gym in quotes because it only has a bench and weights and I haven't lifted a weight yet. It's not a gym until you lift a weight...
New house update: We fired the old builder and hired a new builder and picked a new lot in a new town. They have cleared the trees and like...did the lay out of where the house will go. That's all we're up to but apparently the thing will be up with a roof before winter. Apparently.
Tonight I will do a healthy thing - work out, or eat a healthy meal...or...make a list of healthy things to purchase tomorrow when I grocery shop. Yes, that doesn't seem too offensive. I'll do that last one.

Not the Biggest Loser
So, I wasn't the biggest loser. My man was.
We both gained some back. I'll leave him out of it...
A week ago I was back up to 143. Today I am 138ish. Back on Weight Watchers. I haven't quite motivated myself to work out yet, and that's okay, too. One change at a time. Around this time of day, 1-2:00 pm I feel so motivated like I could do anything. But, by the time I get home I make dinner, clean up, maybe take a bath, give the boy a bath, put him to bed and I'm dead. I tell myself I'll wake up early the next day and I don't. So that's that.
On the home front - we settled on a piece of land with a track builder only to have that builder find us too difficult. Now we settled on new land elsewhere, same house, custom builder - he doesn't care if we want a helipad on the roof. This is better for us. Sort of. Many opportunities for the man to come up with "more ideas." I just want to start already...

Biggest Loser 2013
True to form, husband and I have decided to try and lose weight for the new year. We took video, pictures (no, you will not see them) and started an excel spreadsheet with charts and formulas to track our losses.
I'm not motivated. I'll just get that out there right now. Usually, I get all "Yay! Diet! And I'll work out! And I'll shop for healthy things only! And I will be thin and hott and..."
None of that ever happens.
I stay motivated for a week, maybe two. By week 3 I've either legitimized my reasons for quitting the diet or I start to putter out. A cheat here and there...and before you know it I've not only stopped dieting but I've gained back anything I've lost. Same old cycle. Very similar to my vows to save money.
I'm not exactly thrilled with my appearance but I'm not grossed out either. I need to be grossed out.
I have high hopes for 2013. Excited to get it going...
The girl is turning 10. The boy is turning 1. We're taking a week vacation to our possible new home town which I'm REALLY psyched about, in February...and maybe, hopefully, possibly...MOVING.

Old house...
Okay, I finally decided what to DO with this "newer, cooler, happier" blog. I think I wanna chronicle the whole upgrade from white trash to just plain white.
This is the tiny house in NYC that we live in now. It's like...unspeakably small considering how many living beings we've crammed into it. We've got me, the husband, the girl and the new small boy. Then we've dogs (3) and cats (3). We also have two birds but I've exiled them to the vacant rental apartment upstairs until it is rented. The girl has a fish...the fish does not bother me.
The living room...
The husband built the fireplace himself, and layed that granite tile, too. It had the potential to be really nice but since we own cheap furniture and have to COVER the couch because of the furry inhabitants (observe ancient orange cat in photos above)...well...this is it people.
On to the kitchen...
Husband also renovated this kitchen, top to bottom, on his own. I picked out the cabinets and granite...however...I didn't really take into account the lack of lighting and I wound up with a seriously dark kitchen. Mistake. Again, nice for a normal sized family but what is missing in these photos are the fur tumbleweeds that accrue throughout the day thanks to some kind of husky mix and two shepherds.
The bathroom...
Clearly, unfinished. Ask me when we started this renovation. Go on...ask. 2011. Like, September of 2011. It will get finished but probably right on schedule with the timing of our move. Meaning, I will never experience this bathroom in its completion. The tub with the jets though? That was just for me. Totally worth it.
The bedrooms will be another post since the girl is sleeping in one and the small boy in another. Over and out.

You gotta put your behind in your past!
I needed a new blog. I had an old blog. (See here: http://theblackclouds.blogspot.com/) but it was all dark and gloomy and I bitched and moaned a lot.
THIS blog will be better, cooler, happier even.
I called it Formerly White Trash because I'm all married and legit now. So when I move, and I make new friends, I can pretend I was always a classy broad and not some piece of trash from the dirty borough of NYC. Genius, right?
